First Sexual Intercourse

First Sexual Intercourse

It is important to have correct information about the first sexual intercourse that is described by many people in exaggeration, settles in the subconscious of the person before marriage by fears and causes many sexual dysfunctions.

The night when the first sexual intercourse is experienced is called as “first night” in some of the societies.

Although nowadays many couples attempt to have sexual relations before marriage, moral values in the societies are still upheld by many circles.

What should be done during the first intercourse?

On the first night that is after marriage, first of all couples must be tolerant and patient towards each other. To share the same roof after arduous days might cause in both men and women some psychological tensions. Here is what you should do to pass the first night comfortably:

First of all, to take a small shower might be relaxing. Then to take the foreplay longer and slower would both enable the man’s penis to erect and the woman’s vagina to get wet. The later sexual intercourse (penetration) should be really slow and the woman must be comforted with words of assurance and it should never be rushed.

Certain lubricative lotions and creams, which can be obtained from drug stores, by being applied to the vaginal entrance right after foreplay before sexual intercourse, might enable the intercourse to run comfortably.

Couples who do not wish to have children right away might use condoms or birth control pills to protect themselves. Birth control pills should be started in the last period (menstrual) before marriage, in the second day of the period. With the first box, the protective properties will kick in.
Another point you should know is that the pain and bleeding caused by the tearing of the hymen is never very extensive. This is situation is entirely related with the person’s ability to relax, not tighten up nor contract. Because normally, pain and bleeding will be much greater in a woman who tightens up. In cases where she does not tighten up and relaxes these kinds of situations would not arise.

Usually, after the first sexual intercourse, there might be very little bleeding or sometimes none at all. In this case, couples should not panic and should know that it is normal. Because, there is “no such rule as there is definitely going to be bleeding on the first night”. To have a bleeding or not to have any is a case entirely depending on the anatomical structure of the hymen.

On the other hand there might not be sexual intercourse on the first night. Exhaustions and tensions of the people naturally reflect upon their sexual lives. In such a case, they should try intercourse at other times when they feel more ready for it.

We advise you to go to a gynecologist for an examination if you cannot achieve sexual intercourse despite attempts over a few months or the intercourses are very arduously attained and painful.

The point that must not be forgotten is that marriage is a sacred institution which runs on the trust, love and respect that the marrying couples feel for each other.
